Welcome To Maple Grove

Maple Grove is a large suburban city located northwest of Minneapolis. The city is known for its beautiful landscaping, convenient access to shops, and regional parks. With a population of ~72,000 residents, you will often find people out riding their bikes or frequenting the local restaurants.

Maple Grove features everything from luxury apartments to single family homes, but is mostly characterized by “move up” buyers. The average sales price for homes over the last 12 months was $394,000 which is more expensive than some of the neighboring northwestern suburbs.

Maple Grove is a second ring suburb of the Twin Cities and is bordered by Champlin & Rogers to the north, Corcoran to the west, Plymouth to the south, and New Hope & Brooklyn Park to the east.

Easily accessible interstates include Interstate 94 and 494, as well as highway 610, which is a major road running east to west in the northern part of the Twin Cities.

5 Reasons You'll hate it:

  1.  With the exception of the parks and open spaces, the city can often feel commercialized.
  2.  Walk-ability scores very low in this area, increasing the need for residents to own or lease their own vehicles.
  3.  Limited housing options for low income residents.
  4.  Access to public transportation is limited and bus schedules are more difficult to plan around as they don’t run frequently.
  5.  Not many venues for local music and entertainment.
